Open Air Village Museum in Szenna

You can get to Szenna from Kaposvár through Kaposszerdahely. Hungary's first Europa Nostra Award winner village museum is situated in Szenna. In addition to the renovated timbered houses and barns, there are furniture, tools and articles of everyday use on display depicting peasants' lives in the old times.
The village museum was settled around the Calvinist Church which was built in 1785 and stands at its original site. The church in folk Baroque style with its colorfully painted wooden sunk panel ceiling counts as one of the most valuable historic monuments of Somogy County.
